Cassandra Emswiler Burd is a designer, tile maker, and tile setter at the historic Moravian Pottery and TileWorks of Bucks County in Pennsylvania. A transplant from Texas, she holds an MFA in Arts and Technology from The University of Texas at Dallas, and her artwork has been exhibited throughout Texas, including The Dallas Contemporary and The Dallas Museum of Art. After over a decade teaching and working at museums and colleges in North Texas, she moved with her family to Pennsylvania and reignited her love of tile at the TileWorks.
