Holley Henderson, LEED Fellow, Fitwel Ambassador, WELL AP - Author / Speaker / Consultant, Founder H2 Ecodesign
Holley is known as the Common Sense Environmentalist making sustainable choices make sense for your business. She is author of the book Becoming a Green Building Professional. A frequent speaker on sustainable design issues, Holley has presented for many groups including conferences, professional associations, academic institutions and corporate audiences.
Prior to founding H2 Ecodesign, Holley was with tvsdesign for ten years and later served as Director of Creative Design for a major carpet manufacturer. Her work in these places provided her with a unique perspective into the needs of owners, manufacturers, and design firms related to sustainability.
H2 Ecodesign has facilitated several “firsts,” including the first LEED-CI project in the US (Platinum Level) and China (Gold Level), as well as, the first LEED project in Thailand. H2 Ecodesign completed an over 2 million SF LEED-CS (Platinum Level) project for the largest energy provider in Thailand. Beyond buildings, H2 Ecodesign collaborates with a myriad of associations and building product manufacturers facilitating their green path including education and communication. Most recently, she consulted for Chemical Insights Research Institute of UL Research Institutes (501c3) who contributes to the protection of human health and well-being through scientific research. Research initiatives are focused on air quality - 3D printing, furniture flammability, vaping and global air pollution.
For over a decade, Holley served the National U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) chairing the Market Advisory Committee and LEED-CI Core Committee. At this time, she serves on the Board of the International Facility Manager Association (IFMA) ISC Sustainability Community.
IWBI WELL (Materials), Wells Fargo, SCAD and Contract Magazine have engaged Holley as part of their respective External Advisory Boards.
