My name is Shawn Mays and I am a lead estimator for Swinerton Builders in their Los Angeles, California Office. As a Philadelphia native, I graduated from Drexel University in 2016 with a bachelor of science in civil engineering. Upon graduation, I moved to Los Angeles where I started my full time career. I have been in the general contracting industry since 2013, having started as a PE intern. After spending a few years in the field with operations, I ultimately found my niche in cost estimating. Currently, I manage several project engineers with the goal of teaching them how to become estimators.
